Petition to Bring FIFA World Cup to Boston

Please join the Mayor's Office of Arts, Tourism & Special Events by signing “THE GAME IS IN US” petition to show your support for Boston's candidacy to be selected for the U.S. World Cup Bid.  As you may know, Boston is one of 27 cities selected to advance to the next stage of the United States' FIFA World Cup™ bid process. Local level promotion of the bid is integral to winning the honor of hosting the FIFA World Cup™ in either 2018 or 2022.

The FIFA World Cup™ is the largest sporting event in the world. Hosting the FIFA World Cup™ would not only be a huge boost for the sport of soccer throughout the United States and here in our own region, but also for our tourism industry with the unmatched level of international exposure and visitors this event draws.

Now is the time to show that BOSTON is dedicated to bringing the FIFA World Cup™ back to the United States and to BOSTON. The power of Boston’s bid lies in your hands and every signature counts as we try to exceed our goal of 50,000 signatures from our destination.  Sign the petition today at www.gousabid.com/city/local/boston-ma/ and forward this email to all of your friends asking them to do the same so that in 2018 or 2022 we can declare, “THE GAME IS IN BOSTON”.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Where's Kevin Costner when you need him? "Build it and they will come." We should build a new soccer stadium that's actually in Greater Boston so all the games don't get banished to that big parking lot in Podunk. Put it in Somerville next to that new Green Line station...
