Greenway Conservancy Rolls Out New Blog

The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy has introduced a new blog this week that can be accessed at: http://blog.rosekennedygreenway.org.

"Here you will find information about the progress of the Greenway – from horticultural updates to news about our Greenway district neighbors."

One post provides an update on the parks:
Cold Weather Park Work, Planning for 2010, and Preserving and Improving Greenspace

  • COLD WEATHER PARK WORK
  • PLANNING FOR 2010
  • PRESERVING AND IMPROVING GREENSPACE
  • DO YOU WANT TO HELP?
  • A VITAL AND HEALTHY PARK

In addition, there is an interesting article titled:
Planning for 2010 – gardens in a parkland
This post addresses questions about the Dewey Square parcels 19, 21 and 22. It also appears to be a response to the recent Emily Rooney TV piece on the Boston Channel that talks about the former relationship with MassHort and future plans for the garden parcels.

The post also announces dates for upcoming meetings, "Join us for an upcoming public open meeting of the Greenway Leadership Council (January 13, 2010 and April 14, 2010. Time and location to be announced. See the Conservancy's website for more information.  Or if you would like to share your ideas from home or office, contact us at info@rosekennedygreenway.org."
